CNY Preparation (Final) & Pineapple Cookies
2 days more!!....yeah..2 days more we will celebrating our Chinese New Year for the year of Cow...I hope this gonna end fast as to run those errands really pull my hair up ler.....some update for my pineapple cookies.....
Before going into the oven....I make "star" shape for my pineapple cookies....
My first tray....the result not very good as I forgot to brush over with the eggs yolk on top of the cookies....
2nd tray with egg yolk mix with egg white but turn out like over burnt lar....
3rd tray....improved a bit....
4th tray....still ok lar....can you see the pineapple jam?...the shape changed from "star" shape to round as it's already midnite about 1.30am and I still have a lot of dough to go and and need to go to work lar....
5th tray....even the "star" shape also run out of the shape....luckily not for sale....lol...
That's all for now as I have to all settle my paper work by today before I go off for 1 week holiday....if not when back to work I'm sure I cannot remember to continue my job from where....
Till then...Best Wishes for an Abundant Chinese New Year 2009!!!!....."Gong Xi Fa Cai"....

CNY Preparation 1 & Almond Cookies
Countdown to CNY will only have less a week now....what did I done so far?....hhmmm.....seems like almost 90% to the end....left only my bedsheet need to change and continue my half way of the decoration....this year would be my 2nd year celebrating CNY with the 'lil one...with him sometimes I have to let go my afternoon nap or work extra time in the midnite as he is very very sticky unless daddy was around to look after him....if unlucky he'll get spank from me....as I told you guys before I can't stand of baby or toddler or kids crying.....really annoying and irritating my ears....hubby know me well about this and seems like till know I still cannot control my emotions to overcome the problem....think of 2nd baby?..no thanks at this moment! unless can guarantee he/she will not cry at anytime he/she like....got meh?.....
OK..enough of those nagging parts....welcome to my world of lousy baking.....spend almost 4 hours to bake the Almond cookies for 2 containers niah...why?..because my oven the lower tray heating elements spoilt liau lar...cannot send now to repair....recently bought for about 3 months only ler....I wonder this phrase still valid or not..."good things not cheap and cheap things not good ar"....price at RM169 for 24 litre brand Faber....I doubt the oven already damage for the very 1st day I bought it home lar but not very sure about it as 1st time own a oven mar....as most of time I need to switch the lower tray back to upper tray to bake again....always curious why the lower tray the food cannot cook one?....then that day bake till I fuming mad so called the customer serviceto find out and the technical people told me the lower heating element spoilt and I know it might take for months to repair it thus will send it after CNY lar....
Got the recipe from one of main bentos supply Veron, baking can count one of tough job but many people outside there still complaining the price was expensive...must make profit one mar...no profit job who want to do?....aiyo...see I nagging again....
1st round of my Almond Cookies....(last week)
Over burnt Almond Cookies....
I let my colleagues be my guinea-pig and they claimed taste nice....yeah...
Ingredient : -
A : 100g butter
80g caster sugar or normal sugar for cooking also can
B : 2 eggs whites
1 tsp vanilla essence
C : 80g plain flour or multi purpose flour
Method : -
1) Mix ingredient A first, beat till fluffy, add in ingredient B and mix well before add in ingredient C .
2) Use the back of the stainless steel spoon to scoop and place it on a baking paper. Level off the excess mixture and try to make it thin so that will taste crispy.
3) Place the baking paper with mixture in the oven.
4) According to her method, bake in a pre-heated oven at 170° for 15 mins.
5) Different oven may have different temperature so it may cause over burnt for 1st to 2nd trial.
5) For my oven, I baked with 150° for about 15 mins.
6) When it turn golden, let it cool and store it quickly to prevent softness.
2nd round of my Almond Cookies....(last nite)....jeng jeng jeng....
"L" license passsed...this time not over burnt..it's call golden already...hehehe
Place nicely in to the container....
I double up the ingredients and after the hard work for 4 hours with the lower tray heating element spoilt....I have 2 containers only.....

Touch' n go or Tambah Nilai?
Why I blog this?....me prefer to reload my touch 'n go card thru those tambah nilai lane as I don't like to stop my car and go down to the office and not every way out after highway have tambah nilai lane but sometimes no choice as I'm not going to pay extra RM0.50 if to reload in Petronas petrol kiosk...in our country everything also wants to charge...sigh....
I always use KESAS highway on my way to work and it doesn't have tambah nilai lane so most of time I need to get my lazy butt down and reload in their office lor....or else if so happen I use others highway.....
Schools has been started since 2 weeks ago means I need to pay extra RM0.50 to avoid the massive jam in way out heading to Sunway Pyramid exit...the RM0.50 that I pay was the one which pass by the Central Sugar factory..I don't know what exit is that call....is it Batu Tiga?hehehehe....I'm very "char" in this...untill know I still confuse where is NKVE highway, PLUS highway....
OK talk about the so-called Batu Tiga exit....neh the exit after 3 petrol station from Klang side...know where or not?...I've seen before there is tambah nilai lane...but when I need to top up my touch 'n go the sign board seems missing....then other day when I pass it's there back...ishhhh....then I talk to myself maybe that day is not this exit lar....sometimes my husband drive then when I saw that sign board again I ask him...ay you come in this exit from where ar? is this exit which go to Central Sugar one? why when I go thru this exit did not see the tambah nilai signboard geh? blablablabla....things goes liddat lar....even I ask my colleague she also say have as she top up from that exit whenever she go back to her hometown....sigh....takkan gua nampak hantu mar....
I will not satisfied till I find the thruth answer or maybe they get me wrong of which exit I'm talking about...cannot be mar....we really say about that after the 3 petrol kiosk exit wor....
Thus, yesterday evening after work I top up my touch 'n go and I ask the lady cashier....I nak tanya you tambah nilai punya lorong yang kat seberang sana tu masuknya dari mana ya?..you tau tak exit yang selepas 3 buah petrol station dari arah Klang kan ade satu lorong touch 'n go betul tak sebab I rasa macam pernah tengok tapi kekadang kenapa macam takde ya...I salah tengok ke?
She smile to me and say....oohhh lorong tambah nilai tu sign boardnya boleh tukar.....yikes! means can rotate lar the sign board!!!!!!...kanasai.....she told me lagi...lorong tu buka setiap hari dari pukul 7 pagi.....patutlar gua tak nampak sebab I selalunya sampai exit sana sebelum 7.00 pagi.....ingat nampak hantu ke? and the lady laugh out...
This morning the first thing I do is telling my colleague about the tambah nilai lane lor...lol...
So anyone out there do you know that the signboard can be rotate? or I'm the one who from archipelago place ar?

Bento 6
I have attempt to make "sambal udang kering" (dried prawns chillies) long long time ago but was not sure whether I have blender at home so ask hubby and he say yes...(sometimes need a guide from him as our store room too much stuffs).....despite the blender is not new, I still happy as at least I no need go and invest one ok....go get the ingredients with full of actions but project failed......

Turn out supposed to be red color but mine orange color and gosh! lots of chillies seeds....taste and smell spicy but not nice....I shall blame to the old blender lar as it's sound noisy but cannot blend well and my super "keng" (act smart) hubby ask to add water..I told him my recipe does not have "add water" written there lar....
At last, I still make the so-called "sambal udang kering" spread with bread as my bento breakfast abo-then wasted ler....the balance still sitting in my microwave oven....how ar?..can repair or not?...sigh....

Good Deals for Leon's Pyjamas
That day after my belly dancing class, I went to Klang Parade Parkson to check whether pyjamas for brand Mix Color have offer or not as I bought it with 50% off last year when Leon still was a baby....to my dismay the offer had been on going for almost a month and not much sizes and variety of the boy's pyjamas as you will not get this kind of good deal in any other Parkson outlet....only 1 years old or up to 10 years old sizes available but also not much stock....however I manage to get 3 suits of pyjamas after I slowly flip one by one of the clothes for few rounds....double check mar as I'm not satisfied if can't even get 1 suit....
Normal price is from RM20++ up to RM30++ so do you think I will spend that kind of money to buy pyjamas what's more toddler grown up very fast....unless I married to millionaire husband but too bad to millions hair husband instead.....hehehe.....
1st suit - size for 2 years old
The material is 100%....Mouse design....I'm not picky to the colors....I will let Leon wear any colors including pink...don't you think it's bored to see blue colors only for boys?
2nd suit - size for 2 years old as well
Lion design....

Bento 5
So lazy to move my butt this morning....it's really big different after school holiday ended....have get very early to beat the massive jam....grrrrr....if school holiday I can reach office in 25 mins time but now it may takes up to 1 hr to get there....
Nothing special only bento for breakfast....fried of premix "cucur udang" dip with mayonise....
I add some other ingredients into it chillies padi and onions....suppose to be prawns but hubby cooked the prawns with the maggi mee liau....and yeah he is king of prawns...

Leon boy at 14th months....
Today mark that Leon boy turning into 14 months....out of sudden I miss the garrulous boy....but when he is around I feel het up with his naughtiness and agitated with his non-stop babbly talks....sigh....
Development :-
Weight : 9.3 kgs
Height : 86cm
Teething : Total 8 teeths (2 upper central incisor & 2 lower central incisor)
(2 upper lateral incisor & 2 lower lateral incisor)
Feeding :-
7 oz of formula milk (3 times a day) and 2 times of solid food.
Dexterity :-
Still crawling at very fast speed.
Daddy will assist him to practice his walking with the moonwalker and still like a duck-walking style.
He welcome every types of food no matter whether it's sour, sweet or bitter (his 1st 12 months of milk powder was a bit bitter brand Enfalac HA).
Still don't know use his fingers to eat, we have to feed him all time. If you hand over to him he will just put everything in his mouth or grasp the food till ...there is once when he try to push a big piece of biscuit into his mouth....aiyo!...can you imagine that when the biscuit is bigger than his mouth!...quickly pull it out back..so dangerous he might choke himself....sweat!.
When his mood swing is good he will keep his toys into the basket.
Sometimes he may pick up rubbish and throw into the dustbin...I also wonder how he knows that things is rubbish?
He will carry the CD's book and babbly with his baby talks....we know that his giving sign that he wants to watch some of his favourites show eg. Barney.
His potty trained still not very skillful as he will tell you once that he's going to pooh...once you miss out "accident" may happen.
He is very good in reading people's expression, he will immediately response behave when he know you angry with him....then he will show his pity face and sit quietly waiting for you to forgive him, once you forgive him he will happily come over and hug you for the forgiveness.
Very socialise, he melts you away with his babbly sweet baby talks and I bet you will play with him....his yeh yeh (father in-law) always falls into his trap.
Very kpc (busybody), everything passed by him also mind his business.
Sleeping Style :-
He loves big space turn out he don't like to sleep in his cot, we feel crowded despite our king size bed....Afternoon nap must have about 3-4 hours or more and one thing good about him he will sleep in the night at anytime when I feel to put him to sleep normally about 11.00pm after his final feed....really match his chinese zodiac hor....what else....he born in the year of PIG lar....

Happy New Year!
Another year had passed...now we are in 2009 and we will be going to celebrate Chinese New Year in 2 weeks time...how time flies....I hate this as need to do spring cleaning....luckily I have part time cleaner to help me, though...hehehe...already make appointment with her to pick her up on 17th January 2009....and ya I don't go thru agent as I only need someone to clean my house once in a blue moon like wiping the ceiling fans, grille doors, windows, spider webs and etc....
This Indonesian part time cleaner is good...introduce by my colleague as she know her for years so trustworthy lor and her hand work also clean...including wiping my tiny decorations thingy one by one...worth for money as well....kekekeke....I will pick her up about 8.30am and reach my home at 9.00am....she immediately start her task from upstair and ended at 5.00pm....looks like working hour hor and only RM50 but I top up another RM10 as a way to appreciate her hard work and a pack of nasi lemak....
One more thing to remind me..to send my curtains to dobi...will get it done tonite.....
